Coronavirus: Liverpool legend discharged from hospital

Sir Kenny Dalglish recovering in self-isolation at his home
ANKARA Legendary Scottish football player and manager Kenny Dalglish was discharged from the hospital after receiving coronavirus treatment, local media reported on Sunday. “They were absolutely brilliant. As a nation, we are all very fortunate to have them and I wish them all well as they work tirelessly to help the country through this pandemic,” Dalglish told The Sunday Post, hailing the healthcare staff. Dalglish said that the rest of his treatment will continue at home. The 69-year-old former Scottish forward tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to hospital on Wednesday for treatment of an infection that required intravenous antibiotics. Dalglish won the Scottish League title four times for Celtic in 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1977. Having eight English League titles with Liverpool, Dalglish also helped the Reds clinch three European Champion Clubs' Cup as a player and manager. In the last 24 hours, the U.K. reported 917 additional deaths, raising total to 9,875 from the virus. The pandemic has killed almost 109,000, and infected more than 1.78 million, while an excess of 405,000 patients has recovered, according to figures compiled by the U.S.-based Johns Hopkins University.
