Cycling: Alexander Kristoff Wins 4th Stage of Tour of Qatar 2016

Doha, February 11 (QNA) - Norwegian Alexander Kristoff sprinted to the fourth stage victory in the Tour of Qatar on Thursday. BMC's rider Greg Van Avermaet (Belgium) finished second and Jacopo Guarnieri (Italy) Katusha was third position. Cavendish finished fifth, though he now leads the general classification by two seconds from BMCs Greg Van Avermaet. The 28-year-old Alexander Kristoff, who won three stages and the points classification in Qatar last year, is now fourth and just nine seconds behind overall leader Cavendish. Boasson Hagen won the third stage, but he suffered a puncture on this 189 kilometer ride and lost 45 seconds to Cavendish. The stage, covering 189 km between Al Zubarah Fort and Madiant Al Shamal. The fifth and final stage on Friday is 114 km from Sealine Beach Resort to Doha Corniche. (QNA)
