Dubai to host 'Game Evolution’ this November

DUBAI, 3rd June, 2015 (WAM) -- INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, officially announced yesterday that Dubai will host Game Evolution, (formerly known as World Game Championship – WGC) the leading Sports event in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, on the 6th and 7th of November 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Over the past years, INDEX has sponsored the UAE national team to several international top tournaments in Korea, China, USA, and Spain. Through Game Evolution, INDEX continues to promote eSports for the youth in the UAE, as it is part of its commitment to provide gamers with an ultimate platform for competitive gaming. The organising committee, which made the announcement yesterday at a press conference, hoped that Game Evolution is expected to attract over 10,000 gamers from various nationalities, and it will be open to public with activities for gamers of all ages. Anas Al Madani, Vice Chairman and CEO of INDEX Holding and Rashed Al Zaabi, Owner of Dragon Master for electronics participating in Game Evolution elaborated on the importance of ‘Game Evolution’ that will showcase latest game technologies and video games tournaments pitting local and international gamers against each other. The event aims to promote eSports as a professional spectator sport in the region and bring the attention of communities from around the world to the Middle East. Game Evolution will bring together the community of gamers in the region all while promoting healthy competition. It will be the ideal platform for international, regional and local professional gamers and talents of all ages to compete against one another in different games and across different platforms.
