Egypt Thrash Algeria in Handball World Championship

Doha, January 17 (QNA) - Egypt have overwhelmingly beaten Algeria 34-20 in the Handball World Championship Qatar 2015 in Group C to collect their first two points of the tournament. The game got off to a strong start as the two teams were level on four goals at some point before the Egyptian team assumed control of the game to end the first half eight goals in front and with a scoreline of 17-9. The Pharaohs remained in the driving seat in the second half and even managed to double the score of their opponents 22-11 before ending the game on a strong note and a wide score of 34-20. The win takes Egypt temporarily to the top of Group C until the two other games between Sweden and Iceland, and France and Czech Republic finish tonight. (QNA)
