Es'hailSat to Air UEFA Euro 2016 in 4K

Doha, June 08 (QNA) - UEFA Euro 2016 will be broadcast via exclusive rights holder, beIN Sports, in 4K on Es'hailSat from 26 degrees East hotspot, which covers the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the Qatar Satellite Company (Es'hailSat) said. Es'hailSat and beIN will be the first in the MENA region to transmit live 4K sports to consumers via satellite, which will offer viewers a super sharp picture quality thanks to the 4K's near lifelike quality. "We are delighted that beIN has entrusted Es'hailSat with the transmission of this key sporting event," Es'hailSat President and CEO Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari said. "In addition to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the English Premier League, and a number of tennis and basketball tournaments, we are seeing a growing number of broadcasters relying on Es'hailSat to broadcast premium sports content to the MENA region. This further underlines the value of our broadcasting independence, quality of service and our market penetration." The UEFA Euro 2016 will take place in France from June 10 to July 10. The tournament's opening game sees hosts Franc take on Romania at Stade de France. (QNA)
