EYOF Baku 2019: Five Azerbaijani judokas to vie for medals on first day of competition

Baku, July 24, AZERTAC Judo competitions have started at the Heydar Aliyev Arena as part of the "EYOF Baku 2019", with Azerbaijan pinning hopes on five fighters on day one. The first day of the competition will feature women’s 40kg, 44kg and 48 kg judo events, while men will contest medals in 50kg, 55kg and 60kg weight categories. Baku EYOF 2019 brings together 297 judo fighters from 40 countries. Azerbaijan`s squad includes 12 judo fighters (8 boys and 4 girls).
