EYOF Baku 2019: seven Azerbaijani wrestlers to vie for medals on last day of competition

Baku, July 23, AZERTAC Tuesday will see the last day of wrestling competitions at the 15th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival - "EYOF Baku 2019". Freestyle, Greco-Roman and female wrestlers will contest medals in seven weight categories, with Azerbaijan`s hopes pinned on seven wrestlers. Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Kenan Heybatov (51 kg) will take on Ukrainian Ivan Terzi, while Jabrayil Hajiyev (65 kg) will face Georgian Davit Patsinashvili in the 1/8 round. In Greco-Roman event, Elmir Aliyev (51 kg) will take on Norwegian Christopher Andersen in 1/8 round, while Khasay Hasanli (65 kg) will face Greek Fotios Bukis in the qualifying stage. In the women`s event, Elnura Mammadova (53kg) will take on Flora Vizi from Hungary, while Birgul Soltanova (57 kg) will face Russian Daria Manuil, and Nigar Mirzazade (65 kg) will wrestle with German Marie Trautmann in the 1/8 round. Team Azerbaijan now top the overall medal table of EYOF Baku 2019 with 10 medals, all contributed by wrestlers.
