Flame of first European Games lit up in Khachmaz

Khachmaz, June 3, AZERTAC The flame of the Baku 2015 first European Games was today welcomed to Khachmaz by hundreds of local residents. At the symbolic gate of the European Games in the region, the flame was accepted by local youth activist Mubariz Hasanov. Twelve torchbearers then started their 4.1km long route and carried the flame into the Flag Square to the sound of wild applause. Judo fighter Vasif Talibli lit the flame of the European Games. Local residents were treated to a video projection depicting the official capturing of the flame at Ateshgah. The flame then continued its journey to the next destination, Shabran.
