Football: Qatar to Face Syria Tomorrow in Iraq

Basra, March 23 (QNA) - Qatar's national football team will meet tomorrow Saturday with their Syrian counterparts, in the final day of a friendly competition taking place in Iraq's Basra. Qatar is top of the standings after they beat Iraq 3-2 in the opening match. A win tomorrow will guarantee them winning the tournament. A draw or a loss however will mean that the Qatari team will await the result of the match between Iraq and Syria. Iraq will be hoping for a victory for Syria, as it will give them a chance to compete for the title if they win the match they have with Syria at a later date. Qatar and Syria had met twice during the World Cup 2018 qualifiers. Qatar won the first match 1-0, with Syria winning the return leg 3-1, meaning tomorrow's match could go either way. (QNA)
