France denies Iran a winning flight

TEHRAN, Sept.6 (MNA) – Iran National Men Basketball Team has lost a game to France to bid farewell the FIBA Basketball World Cup after five matches. Iranian basketballers lost their 5th match against France, many time world champion, 76-81 in the first round of Basketball World Cup Champions. The Persian athletes won the first quarter 23-13 over the rival while the next two quarters finished as 10-24, 16-26 with French victory. The last quarter went on and the Iranians hit the rival 27-16 but the total score was 76-81 for French to win. With this defeat Iranian basketballers bid farewell the FIBA 2014 champions. Iranians had already lost 3 matches to Spain 60-90, to Brazil 50-79, to Serbia 70-83 and won over Egypt 88-73 in Group A.
