GCC Information Ministers: Qatar Hosting 2022 FIFA World Cup is "Accomplishment for All GCC Countries"

Kuwait, October 15 (QNA) - GCC Information Ministers expressed their solidarity with Qatar against tendentious media campaigns targeting its FIFA 2022 World Cup bid, saying Qatar's right to host this tournament is an achievement made after a hard work for years and the results were impressive by the whole world. They emphasized that the achievement to be registered on behalf of all the GCC countries, saying the simplest duties of the GCC media organs is to support this achievement and firmly face those who are seeking to deform it The ministers made the remarks during their 22nd meeting being held here today under the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah with participation of all GCC Member States' delegations and in the presence of GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural and Information Affairs Khalid bin Salim Al-Ghassani.(QNA)
