GCC Sports Media Championship success hailed

Manama, Apr. 5 – (BNA): The General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS)'s President, Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder, congratulated the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCY)'s Chairman and Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA)'s President, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the resounding successful pageantry of the first Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s Sports Media Championship on His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's Cup. Al Jowder praised His Highness's patronage of the event and constant follow up of administrative and organizational procedures culminating in the crowning of the winners during the conclusive ceremony. He said all Gulf media teams are considered winners for their positive participation in the championship and the presence of GCC media delegations. He added that thanks to the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a set of noble goals have been accomplished, including the convergence of GCC media delegations which boosts cooperation and brotherliness as well as showcasing the technical levels and honest competitive spirit of the teams which reflected their positive competiveness during the matches. He congratulated Bahrain's media team which achieved the first championship's title after presenting wonderful level of performance throughout the matches. He commended the efforts of the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA)'s sport media committee, lauding the Kingdom's hosting the permanent headquarters of Gulf Media Championships, also congratulating the head of the BJA's sports media Committee, Mohammed Qasim upon his appointment as head of the committee.
