George Hilton: Brazil is interested in developing cooperation in the field of sports with Azerbaijan

Baku, January 15, AzerTAc Azerbaijani Ambassador to Brazil Elnur Sultanov has met Brazil’s newly appointed Sports Minister George Hilton to discuss development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports. The diplomat stressed the importance of mutual visits of the ministers of the two countries and signed documents, noting that Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation in the field of sports. He emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of sport, highlighting the achievements, the high-profile international sport events to be held in the country, including the First European Olympic Games. The Brazilian Minister hailed Azerbaijan as an important partner for Brazil. He stressed that his country is interested in further development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of sports. Stressing the importance of the first European Games to be held in Baku in June current year Mr. Hilton, expressed confidence the Games would be a success. The Azerbaijani Ambassador presented the Brazilian Minister the first edition of postage stamps dedicated to the first European Games In turn, Mr. Hilton presented the Ambassador the book of the well-known Brazilian journalist Mario Filho dedicated to the Brazilian football.
