GPIC sponsors Nasser 8

Manama, June 1 (BNA): Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) will sponsor the eighth edition of Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Games, which kicks off on Thursday on the grounds of Khalifa Sports City and concludes on the 3rd of July. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee praised the continuous support of GPIC to sports and youth activities in the Kingdom. The company’s sponsorship during the past seven years were hailed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who said, "Sponsoring the tournament for the eighth consecutive year, proves GPIC officials’ concern about supporting the championship and initiatives dedicated to the youth." On his part, GPIC Chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery described GPIC’s sponsorship of Nasser 8 as a national obligation towards Bahraini sports community and football. He said that the sponsorship comes as a result of the exceptional cooperation between the company and the organising committee of Nasser8. Jawahery added that the tournament is a true gain for football progress in the kingdom, explaining that sponsoring the tournament serves the company’s goals to support the youth and sports sector.
