Hajigabul welcomes Flame of Baku-2015 European Games

Hajigabul, May 6, AZERTAC Hajigabul has become the next destination for the Baku-2015 first European Games Journey of the Flame, arriving from Shirvan. Torchbearers were welcomed by thousands of local residents. At the gate, the flame was passed to pupil of Hajigabul city secondary school No. 5 Ali Rustamov. Ten torchbearers then started their 3.9km long route and carried the flame into the central square of the city to the sound of wild applause. Pupil of Hajigabul City secondary school No. 5, volleyball player Ayshen Shukurova lit a special commemorative lamp which will remain lit and on display in Hajigabul until the Closing Ceremony of the Games. The event featured demonstration of a footage highlighting a ceremony to light the flame of Baku-2015 first European Games in Ateshgah temple. The flame then continued its journey to the next destination, Saatli. For more photos Click here
