HE President of Olympic Committee Attends Diamond League Opening

Doha, May 15 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani attended Friday the 14th edition of Doha Diamond League, which kicked off today. Qatar always hosts the opening of the diamond league. A large number of world champions including 13 Olympic champions and 10 World Champions will take part in this year's competition. The most notable of which is Britain's Mohammed Farah, who is competing for the European 3000m race. The IAAF Diamond League is an annual series of track and field meetings organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) back in 2010. It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which was held annually since 1998. (QNA)
