HH Shaikh Khalid receives High Organising Committee, sponsors of 2018 BRAVE International Combat Week

Manama, July 5 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, received at Al Wadi Palace President of the High Organising Committee of the 2018 BRAVE International Combat Week and its members as well as representatives of all the event's sponsors and those who contributed to its success. The meeting was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed. It's worth noting that the 2018 BRAVE International Combat Week took place from November 11 to 18, 2018 and it featured the World Championships Amateur Mixed Martial Arts. HH Shaikh Khalid welcomed the attendees, congratulating on the success achieved in both events which reflected the Kingdom's huge potential and efficiency in organising major regional and international sporting events. He praised the remarkable efforts exerted by all the High Organising Committee members and the preparations to host this international sports gathering on Bahrain's soil as it has cemented the Kingdom's global standing in the area of sports, adding that the High Organising Committee played a key role in the successful delivery of the event. "We are proud of the contributions of the governmental agencies and the private companies to the successful organisation of the event which confirmed Bahrain's capabilities to accommodate various sports activities" HH Shaikh Khalid pointed out. He concluded by saying: "Bahrain is gearing up to host the 2019 edition of the BRAVE International Combat Week which will take place from November 9 to 16. It's a new challenge and it requires everyone to unify efforts to make it well-known to the whole world that Bahrain is always capable of hosting major events and delivering them in extraordinary manner." HH Shaikh Khalid honoured the president of the High Organising Committee and the governmental agencies as well as the sponsors of the event. Moreover, HH received a souvenir from Abdulaziz Khalid Al Khayyat, the President of the High Organising Committee of the 2018 BRAVE International Combat Week.
