HH Shaikh Khalid underlines Bahrain’s sports strides

Manama, Apr. 4(BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) affirmed that the Brave Combat Championship is steadily continuing its strides towards becoming the best on the international level. These statements by HH Shaikh Khalid were made in an interview with ESPN5 sports channel during stay in the Republic of the Philippines at the invitation of President Rodrigo Duterte. "The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines are bonded by strong bilateral ties in various fields", he said. "This has contributed to the fast growth of mutual relations, which reflected on the development of both countries and opened new horizons of cooperation in new fields, especially sports, creating opportunities that would positively impact the development of this cooperation." he added. He said that The Philippines had succeeded in hosting the 22nd edition of Brave Combat Championship, by facilitating it and contributing to organising this event, which was launched from the Bahraini Capital, Manama, and was held in different cities across the world, reiterating the success of the Bahraini experiment in the field of combat sports and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), especially on the professional level. He underlined Bahrain’s efforts to promote this sport and support MMA professional athletes and have a positive impact on the development of the sport. "Brave Combat Championship continues to progress and will cement its presence in different cities and capitals of the world, as it will prevail and continues pursuing the goals it was launched for to become the best on the international level", he concluded.
