HH Shaikh Nasser receives FIFA president

Manama, June 25 (BNA): Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received here today FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom. HH Shaikh Nasser lauded FIFA President’s interest in the Bahraini sport, and keenness to develop its football so as to reach the highest levels and achieve the expected goals. HH Shaikh Nasser discussed with Gianni Infantino ways to develop football in Bahrain, stressing that the game enjoys the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the remarkable successes achieved by FIFA, under the leadership of Gianni Infantino, noting that football in Bahrain has benefited from FIFA’s programmes and support over the past period. He asserted that continuous partnership with FIFA would pave the way for Bahraini football to take advantage of FIFA’s expertise and distinguished competencies. FIFA chief expressed thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for the warm welcome, praising his keenness to carry on developing sports in Bahrain. He pointed out that the Bahraini sport has made quantum leaps over the past period, wishing the Bahraini football further success.
