Historic achievement for Bahraini women sports

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister on the historic achievement of Bahraini female rider Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary, who entered the World Elite Club as the first female Arabian rider to attain such an international accomplishment in equestrian sports, in addition to qualifying for the World Youth Endurance Championship in Chile, after recently winning the fourth place in Virton Endurance Championship in Belgium. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the latest achievement of Bahraini endurance sports comes as a result of His Majesty the King’s support to Bahraini equestrian sports and riders, and providing them with the appropriate environment to grow and excel. He added that Dana Al Bingghadeer Al Dossary’s achievement adds to the various accomplishments of Bahraini equestrian and endurance sports during the previous years. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted that the historic achievement contributes in promoting the reputation of Bahraini sports regionally and internationally. At the same time, he confirmed that Bahraini equestrian and endurance sports will continue to shine in international sports arenas, explaining that the team will spare no efforts in preparing Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary for the upcoming world championship in Chile, aiming at gaining more accomplishments for Bahraini sports. On his part, Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Director Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan praised the achievement of Bahraini females in equestrian and endurance sports, adding that it came as a result of the never-ending support and directives of the captain of the team HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He also clarified that the World Elite Club is the highest international ranking that youth riders could attain, stating that Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary competed in ten 120-kilometre in races in the past 24 months to qualify for the title. Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary appreciated the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who she said was the main motivator of all members of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team. She also hailed the support and directives of the captain of the team HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and coaches Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Abdulhaq Qudawi, Ahmed Janahi, Ahmed Abdulla and Raed Mahmood.
