HM King congratulated on Royal Ascot victory

Manama, June 22 (BNA): Board chairman of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the historic achievement attained by the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa following filly Daahyeh's win at the Royal Ascot race. Daahyeh, owned by HH Shaikh Nasser, clinched the first place in a 1200-metre race held yesterday at the prestigious Royal Ascot Racecourse in the UK. The historic victory is the outcome of HM the King’s care for equestrian sport, as well as the interest of HH Shaikh Nasser, he said, adding HM King Hamad’s support has helped Bahraini sport to attain multiple achievements at various sports gatherings. He affirmed that HH Shaikh Nasser’s interest in the equestrian sports has enable Bahrain to reach the highest levels at various competitions and championships.
