HM King Mohammed VI patronises BRAVE 14

Manama, July 10 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), has praised the initiative of HM King Mohammed VI to patronise the 14th edition of BRAVE Championship which will be held in Tangier, Morocco on August 18.  HH confirmed that the selection of Tangier to be the next destination for BRAVE Championship comes in support of the historical ties bonding Bahrain with Morocco, which are considered to be a role model across all sectors.  "On the outset, I would like to express my sincerest thanks and appreciation to HM King Mohammed VI for patronising the 14th edition of BRAVE Championship which will take place in Tangier. HM's gesture confirms his keen interest to support this prestigious event which started in Manama before going worldwide in a bid to support our efforts towards developing the MMA sport in Bahrain and in the region," he said. "HM's sponsorship of the 14th edition of BRAVE is a great success and is a unique opportunity to reach the goals set out for hosting this event, including extending its reach and organise it in as many cities as possible. Morocco is one of the countries that have a great interest in the MMA sport as there are many professional Moroccan fighters, and this is a source of pride for everyone.” The 14th edition of BRAVE marks the first time in the history of sports that a global MMA promotion is hosting an event on the continent of Africa. Brave Combat Federation had recently made its entry into Europe with the event in Belfast, United Kingdom. The promotion was founded under the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa had already secured broadcast rights for the continent of Africa through StarSat and VodaComm to broadcast the event live on the continent.
