HRH CP Cup winners awarded

Manama: April 20 -- (BNA): Under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister ; the final endurance race of the season on the HRH the Crown Prince's Cup was held on April 18. Son of HRH the Crown Prince HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and BREEF President HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa awarded the winners of the Crown Prince Night Endurance Cup. Al-Khalidiya Stables' Rider Ali Busafar bagged the first position finishing the 120-kilometre race within 4:51:52 hours with the speed of 24 km per hour followed by Al Zaeem Stables Rider Yaqoob Al Hammadi and Female Rider Shaikha Najla bint Saqr Al Khalifa, who placed second and third respectively. HH Shaikh Isa hailed HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his constant auspices of the sports movement in the kingdom. He also praised the continuous support of HRH the Crown Prince to equestrian and endurance sports. HH Shaikh Isa expressed his appreciation to the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and the Honorary Chairman of BREEF HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Athletic Association President HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and BREEF President for their endless efforts to improve and promote sports in the Kingdom. HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid appreciated the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince, also stating that the race witnessed high technical levels and competition among the contenders, who showed a great performance and contributed in the success of the race.
