International Paralympic Committee Official Praises Qatar Organization of GCC Championship

Doha, September 14 (QNA) - Head of International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics, Ryan Montgomery, praised the organization of the ninth GCC championship for people with disabilities, which was held at Qatar Sports Club's Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium. Speaking during a press conference on Monday, Montgomery said the tournament was successful and signifies more success for the world championship in Doha next month. He added that he hopes for large attendance of Qatari citizens and residents in order to make the event succeed. During the press conference, Qatar Sports Federation of Special Needs executive director Amir Al Mulla revealed that an agreement has been reached with Al Kass Channel to be the official broadcaster of next year's edition. He also thanked the organizing committee of the GCC tournament, which was a test event for the world tournament's organizing committee. (QNA)
