Iran’s junior men handball team qualifies for world championship

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s junior men's handball team defeated the championship defender Bahrain and made it to the semifinal against Saudi Arabia, qualifying for the world championship. Iran’s national team won 30-29 against Bahrain’s team on Friday in the 2022 Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship. After this victory, Iran’s team will play against Saudi Arabia in the semifinal. It also secured a quota in the IHF Men's Junior World Championship. Iran has gained second place in Group A after playing against South Korea, Bahrain, Uzbekistan, and India in the Asian championship, by winning three games and losing against South Korea.
