Iran’s Soltani snatched 3 medals at IWF Junior World C’ships

TEHRAN, Jul. 11 (MNA) – Young Iranian weightlifter Hossein Soltani won two silver and one bronze medal in the Men’s 77kg bodyweight category of 2018 IWF Junior World Championships. Soltani ended the Snatch on 149 kg and got the silver while Ritvars Suharevs from Latvia lifted 156 kg and gained the gold. Third place was awarded to Uzbek Gayrat Artmuyatov followed closely by Rafik Harutyunyan from Armenia ending 4th. In the Clean and Jerk, Soltani made a good lift at 177 kg in his third attempt and secured the third rank. Suharevs with 180 kg and Harutyunyan with 178 kg won gold and silver medals of this category. With 326 kg, Soltani also won another silver in the Total. The competitions kicked off on July 6 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and will end on July 14.
