Iran Crowned Champion Of Asia Hapkido Games

Rasht, Gilan prov, April 20, IRNA – Iran has claimed its first title in the first Asian Hapkido Games here on Friday. Some 60 athletes from Iran, South Korea, UAE, India, Bahrain, Malaysia and Afghanistan took part in the two-day event which wrapped up in Rasht on Friday. Iran has managed to snatch nine gold, six silver and six bronze medals in the competitions. Afghanistan ranked second with three gold, four silver and three bronze medals followed by South Korea with three silver and two bronze medals. Hapkido is a dynamic and also eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, techniques of other martial arts, as well as kicks, punches, and other striking attacks./end
