Iran gains valuable victory vs. Argentina

TEHRAN, Sep. 13 (MNA) – Iran’s men’s volleyball team defeated its former coach’s men to grab three valuable scores. In the course of its previous victories, Iranian volleyballers stood against Argentine’s men who were led by Iran’s former coach Julio Velasco and crushed them with a 3-0 win. This was Iran’s second win in second round of FIVB world championship in Poland. During the game which was held on Thursday, Iran scored 25-15, 25-23 and 25-16. At the beginning of the game Iran’s team observed a minute of silence to honor forty days after death of its former coach Hossein Maadani. Iran will meet Poland and Serbia on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
