Iran Promotes Its World's Futsal Ranking To 6th Place

Tehran, Nov 5, IRNA - Iranian national futsal team promoted its world's ranking to the 6th place after its Sunday's 2-2 result against Spanish rival. Goals from Masoud Daneshvar and Hossein Tayebi gave Iran a 2-2 comeback draw against Spain in Thailand in their Group B opener at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012. FIFA Futsal ranking is now changed with the result; therefore Iran recieved 1561 points to take the place of Argentina. Iran now ranks 6th after Spain, Brazil, Italy, Russia, Portugal, followed by Argentina, Ukraine, Japan and Paraguay./end
