Iran Ranks 2nd In 2013 World Taekwondo Championships

Tehran, July 16, IRNA – After eight years, Iran ranked second in the 2013 World Taekwondo Championships held in Puebla, Mexico, on Tuesday. Hadi Mostaˈan conceded defeat to his South Korean competitor 9-8 and stood at the second place in the menˈs category. The Iranian athlete first defeated his Azeri rival, then overcame his Hondurasian and Chinese rivals 11-3 and 7-6, respectively. The 2013 World Taekwondo Championships, which began on July 15, drew a total of 872 athletes from 134 countries./end
