Iran-Russia Parliaments Play Key Role In Sport Co-op : MP

Moscow, Nov 4, IRNA – Majlis deputy and spokesman of Majlis Sports Commission Hadi Hosseini said that the Iranian and Russian parliaments play key role in sport cooperation development. Hosseini, who is currently in Russia, told IRNA on Saturday that he had met with head of Russian Duma Sport commission during which the two sides emphasized that bilateral sport relations can be developed through parliamentary channels. He added that the two sides agreed that reciprocally participate in each others sport races. Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Mohammad Abbasi, heading a delegation, arrived in Moscow on Monday to attend the sixth international meeting of "Peace and Sports" in the port city of Sushi on the Black Sea coast. The Iranian delegation had also met with a number of Russian officials as well as officials from Iraq, Afghanistan and Mongolia on the sidelines of the event./end
