Iran saber fencing team runner-up of Algeria World Cup

Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian national saber fencing team became the runner-up in the Fencing World Cup 2022 in Algeria. The Iranian national saber fencing team consists of Ali Pakdaman, Mohammad Rahbari, Mohammad Fotuhi, and Farzad Baher Arasbaran. The Iranian team thrashed their Canadian rivals 45-22 in the eighth-finals. The saber fencing team competed against Hungary in the quarter-finals, when the Iranians defeated their Hungarian rivals 45-44 and reached the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Iran contested and overcame the German team 45-42 to reach the final. In the final of the Fencing World Cup 2022, the Iranians faced South Korea, when they lost the game 45-34 and received the silver medal of the competition.
