Iran thrashes China 7-0

TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (MNA) – In their second encounter at the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship, Iran’s national futsal team subdued China 7-0. Iran’s futsal squad faced China on Friday in Uzbekistan where Mohammad Taheri scored one of of the fastest goals in the history of the competition by finding the net immediately from the kickoff. Mohammad Taheri, Asghar Hassanzadeh and Hamid Ahmad helped Iran to a 3-0 lead in the first-half of the match the Universal Stadium of Tashkent on Friday. In the second half, Keshavarz notched his double before further goals from Hossein Tayebi and Ghodrat Bahadori brought about a convincing victory for the 10-time champions. Iran had previously got off to an explosive start at the AFC Futsal Championship after they thrashed Jordan 6-0 in their opening Group B match at the Universal Stadium on Wednesday. So far, the Iranian outfit has bagged six points remaining atop the table in Group B. The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship, underway in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on February 10-21, will give World Cup tickets to five top teams.
