Iran v-ballers bid farewell to 2014 semi final

TEHRAN, Sep. 20 (MNA) – Iran's national men volleyball squad has bid farewell to 2014 FIVB World Champions semi final round after France had won it 3-2. On Thursday, Iranian national men volleyball team played against France in last game of third round of Pool G; Iranians lost the game to French 3-2 (25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 15-9). Iranian volleyballers had already secured their place among the top 6 world teams with 7 victories and only 2 loses. Iran will play a game to compete for the 5th place with Russia in 2014 FIVB World Champions on September 20. It will be a bittersweet for the Iranian talented volleyball athletes to take to the floor for the 5th place with victory experiences against world champions like Italy, US, Argentina, Australia. Iranians had also trounced Belgians, Venezuelans and Serbians, while expereinced only two defeats playing with the host Poland and the world power France. However, Iran enjoys its first ever presence among final six teams in FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship and much more progress is awaiting to hit it in future perspectives.
