Iranian athletes grab colorful medals at Solidarity Games

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian para-archery team won three gold and two silver medals in the 5th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games 2021 underway in Konya, Turkey. The Iranian team, Hadi Nouri and Ali Sina Menshazadeh snatched the gold medal in the men’s compound event. At the same time, Maryam Yavarpour and Farzaneh Asgari won the gold medal in the female’s compound event in the double match category on Friday. Ali Sina Menshazadeh and Farzaneh Asgari gained the gold medal in the mixed compound event in the double match category. Somayeh Rahimi and Asghar Zarenejad won the silver medal at this tournament. The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games is underway in Konya, Turkey from 9 to 18 August 2022. The event was moved from 2021 to 2022 to avoid a clash with the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
