Iranian Girl Acclaimed Top Chess Player In World Youth Championship 2012

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA – Iranian chess player Motahare Asadi scored 9.5 ranked top in World Youth Chess Championship 2012 in Slovenia in category of female below the eight-year. In the tenth round, she won her Canadian rival and scored 9.5 and secured her place on top. Another Iranian chess player Pooya Idni in category of male below 18-year old with eight scores has secured his second place. Minoo Asqarizadeh with seven scores ranked seventh in category of female below 18-year. The 2012 World Youth Chess Championship opened in the northeastern Slovenian city of Maribor on November 7, and will wrap up on November 19. A total of 1,587 young chess players from 93 countries compete in various age groups./end
