Iranian men, women karatekas stand 2nd in Bosphorus Cup

Tehran, April 7, IRNA – Iranˈs men and women group Kumite teams ranked second, in Turkish Bosphorus International Cup ended in Istanbul on Sunday. Iranˈs men Kumite team defeated the powerful team of Azerbaijan Republic in the first round of the competitions as well as Russian and Turkish teams during the second round. The Women Kumite team also beat its rivals in the two rounds to stand second during the competitions, behid the host Turkey. Some 17 teams involved in men group Kumite games while 11 teams participated in women group Kumite competitions. In solo competitions involving 20 teams, Iran won a gold medal, two silver medals and three bronze medals.
