Iran`s Traktorsazi held at Tabriz

TABRIZ,April 7(MNA) – Traktorsazi of Tabriz and Moghavemat of Shiraz played out a goalless draw in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday. Traktorsazi remains at the second place of the IPL standings table while Sepahan sits two points clear at the top of the table. In the other match, relegation-threatened Rah Ahan saw off Mes of Kerman 2-0 in a home game. Referee Mohsen Ghahremani sent off Mes striker Ahmad Hasanzadeh in the 57th minute and Mojtaba Shiri put Rah Ahan into the lead in the 68th minute. Hossein Hejazipour scored Rah Ahan’s second goal two minutes later and secured a home win for Ali Daei’s team. Adel Kolahkaj from Mes and Hossein Kazemi from Rah Ahan were sent off in the 76th minute after a scuffle with together. Elsewhere, Foolad lost to Saipa 2-1 in its home game. Foolad defender Jalal Kameli-Mofrad scored an own goal in the 52nd minute and Ali Zeinali from Saipa was on target eight minutes later. With nine minutes remaining, Kaveh Rezaei pulled a goal back for Foolad.
