Iraq volleyball team hold camp in Bahrain

Manama, June 30 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Abdulrahman Askar welcomed Khalid Bashir, deputy head of the Iraqi junior volleyball team visiting Bahrain for a training camp. Askar said he was pleased for the Iraqi team to choose the kingdom of Bahrain for its training camp in preparation for future regional and international challenges. The BOC general secretary noted that both the committee and the Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) are keen to harness all their capabilities for the Iraq Volleyball Association to ensure the success of their camp. Bashir extended his appreciation to the kingdom of Bahrain for its warm welcome and hospitality offered for his delegation during their week-long stay, and hoped that both countries would bolster their cooperation in the near future. He also commended the efforts of the BVA in facilitating the needs of the delegation members and lauded the remarkable reputation of Bahrain volleyball, which has developed in recent years. Also present at the meeting was Bahrain Volleyball Association general secretary Feras Al Halwachi.
