Jeenbekov, AFC head discuss further development of football in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept.18, 2019. /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 18 Kyrgyz leader Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa. The exchange of views on the development of football and its further popularization in the country took place, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported. Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted with satisfaction the positive activity and reforms of AFC, aimed at the development of football on the entire Asian continent. He expressed gratitude for the support of Kyrgyz football, the results of which are clearly visible today. The President said that within the state policy of regional development, schools with gyms and new sports grounds are being built in the regions and district centers. At the same time, he added the football and sports infrastructure in Bishkek is outdated and told about plans to build a new stadium for professional football training in the capital. The AFC president expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for the support of football and fruitful cooperation. He stressed he works closely with the Football Federation of Kyrgyzstan and spoke about the joint plans of cooperation. Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa also expressed his willingness to further support the initiatives of the domestic Football Federation and the implementation of projects, aimed at the development of football in Kyrgyzstan.
