Judoka Kubanychbek Aibek uulu ranks 5th at World Championship

Bishkek, Oct.17, 2019 /Kabar/. Judoka Kubanychbek Aibek uulu lost in the struggle for medals at the Judo World Championship, the website of the International Federation of this sport reported. The tournament is taking place in Marrakech (Morocco). The athlete performed in the weight category up to 60 kg. In 1/16 finals defeated representative of Kazakhstan Sherzod Davlatov. Then he won Russia’s Khetag Batayev. In the quarterfinals, he was stronger than Argentinean Carlos Maldonado. He lost to Ahmad Yusifov of Azerbaijan. In a consolation bout, he lost to Turkish athlete Salih Yildiz. Thus, he took the fifth place.
