Khalid bin Hamad crowns Strongest Bahraini champion

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honourary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, has crowned the winners in the second Strongest Bahraini Championship. HH Shaikh Khalid crowned Salman Salim Abdullah as the winner of the second edition who also received a 4WD car as part of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's humanitarian and sports initiatives, the second edition of Strongest Bahraini Championship held on Saturday under the theme #Be_a_beast and its proceeds will be donated to cancer patients. On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid stressed that holding this event came to confirm Bahrain's capability to organise various sports events. He said that the Championship reflected the constant efforts exerted to translate the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to maintain backing the sports and youth sector. He added that organising this event in its second edition was in line with the constant efforts made by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, to promote the sports and youth fields.
