Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League role praised

Manama, July 17 (BNA): Guests of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Athletics Association and Honorary President of the Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, considered the league a fertile ground for hatching talented players from different regions of Bahrain to provide the national team with the most prominent players in the future. The 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Affairs in partnership with the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, from 24th June to 9th August.  The league is part of His Highness’s initiatives in support of youth in sports and humanitarian fields, held this year with the wide participation of youth centres, national clubs, young women, disabled persons, ministries and communities. They praised the league’s noble objectives and its positive effects on the youth and sports movement, producing a new generation of highly skilled players.  Former striker of our National Team and the Muharraq Club, Husain Ali Pele, said, "Organising six leagues within a single event is not easy. Each category required high organisational potential, which indicates the ability of the Kingdom’s youth to organise large events, which is an anticipated benefit to such competitions, to make use of when hosting regional and global events." He added, "Bahrain will reap the benefits in the near future, with youths seeking to involve themselves in organising committees of local championships, as well as the emergence of new players in futsal due to continuous participation in the Khalid bin Hamad League since its inception until the current 6th edition, which is characterised by an increase in the number of leagues." He pointed out that HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s humanitarianism has manifested in many situations and become more apparent in the league by including players with disabilities in this competition which is under the spotlight and receives a high level of attention. Former player of the National Team and Al Ahli Club Hussain Salman praised the great interaction of clubs, youth centres, communities, ministries, people with disabilities and young women in the league. He said, "The large number of players is proof of the success which develops every year in favour of Bahraini sports and futsal." Hussain Hameed and Sayed Mohammed Yousif hit Al Nasir Club's once each to steer their team Sar Club to the next stage of 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League. The match was part of Group 3 in the tournament and it concluded 2-0. Sayed Mohammed was named the best man of the match. Joining Sar Club in the second stage were A'ali Club who breezed past Nuwaidrat Club 5-1. The efforts of Ahmed Abdulnabi of A'ali Club were key in this victory, and they won him the best player of the match award. In group 4, Samaheej Club killed Dar Kulaib's dreams of qualifying to the second stage by holding them in a 4-4 draw. Sayed Mohammed Ahmed of Dar Kulaib Club took him the best man of the match award.
