Khalid bin Hamad invites winners to join KHK MMA Team

Manama, Mar. 12 – (BNA):The Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS)'s first deputy Chairman, Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA)'s President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the door for participation is open for local fighters interested to participate in the local finale of martial arts in June. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the local finales of martial arts will provide winners the opportunity to join the Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) Team who will represent Bahrain at various sports functions, especially in the UFC tournaments in July in the United States. During the meeting with Bill de Sunny the Chairman of Super Fight Promotion Company, His Highness described the martial arts as one of the games which provide the fighter opportunity to display skills, endurance, stamina and mental faculty in the form that does not contravene with internationally-recognized legal frames. The KHK MAA Team has been formed by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in order to hoist the name of Bahrain at various sports events and activities and to accomplish feats in this sport. HH Highness thanked the championship organizing committee's chairman for his presence in Bahrain and attending the first local finales of martial arts, which will reflect in promoting the Kingdom and showcasing the development in various fields, especial sports. His Highness praised the organizing committee's efforts in organizing this event. His Highness also expressed gratitude and appreciation to the public for attending and following the championship's competitions.
