Kristina Mladenovic wins with resolute victory and becomes opponent of Schiavone

Baku, July 24 (AzerTAc). One more player has been eligible to play in the ¼ finals of "Baku Cup 2014". The 21-year-old French tennis player Kristina Mladenovic who has been ranked 81st in the world faced the 18-year-old Croatian player Donna Vekic who is ranked 76th. The struggle of two young players was very interesting. In the first set of the match that lasted two hours Vekic could defeat her rival 6-2. Nevertheless, after then everything went in favour of Mladenovic. She could make a comeback in the match and made the score 1-1. In the final third set Mladenovic did not leave any chance for Vekic and finished the set 6-0. Thus, Kristina Mladenovic won the match 2-1 and moved on to the ¼ final. Her rival will be the experienced Italian player Franceska Schiavone.
