Kyrgyz athletes win over 1000 medals this year

Bishkek, Dec.23, 2019./Kabar/. In 2019, Kyrgyz athletes won 1306 medals, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan reported Monday. According to its data, 442 gold, 367 silver and 497 bronze medals were won. Five athletes won licenses for the Tokyo Olympics: swimmer Denis Petrashov, track and field athletes Darya Maslova and Yulia Andreyeva, wrestlers Aisuluu Tynybekova and Atabek Azizbekov. Kyrgyzstan has held 1 thousand 806 sporting events, 125 of which are international. 1 thousand 480 athletes got scholarship from the State Agency in the amount of KGS 36 million 220 thousand.
