Malaysian Pair Peng Soon/Liu Ying Enter Thailand Masters Final

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian mixed doubles pair of Chan Peng Soon/ Goh Liu Ying have reached the final of the Princess Sirivannavari Thailand Masters tournament in Bangkok. Peng Soon/Liu Ying needed only 42 minutes to send Puavaranukroh Dechapol /Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand packing, chalking a 21-18 and 21-14 win in the semi--final match Friday night. They will meet Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen of China in the final on Saturday. Zheng/Chen beat Reginald Lee Chun Hei/Chau Hoi Wah of Hong Kong, 21-15 and 21-11 in just 25 minutes. The women's doubles pair of Vivian Hoo/Woon Khe Wei failed to enter the final after losing to Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang of China, 11-21 and 11-21. --BERNAMA
