Malaysians Celebrates National Sports Day With Various Activities Nationwide

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysians nationwide are celebrating the National Sports Day on Saturday by participating in various recreational and sports activities. At the national-level celebration in Kuala Lumpur Sports City, about 20,000 people from all walks of life and age groups participated in different types of sports including electronic sports (e-sports) introduced for the first time by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The celebration, which began at 8.30 am, which was officiated by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Also present were his wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali and Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman. Dr Mahathir also flagged off the participants of the 10km Fun Ride and 3km Fun Walk, before visiting the e-sports booth and tried several electronic games.(photoBERNAMA) -- BERNAMA
