Meeting of Organizing Committee of First Global Forum on Youth Policies held at Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Youth and Sports

Baku, September 17 (AzerTAc). The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan has hosted a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the First Global Forum on Youth Policies to be held in Baku on October 28-30. According to the press service of the Ministry, the meeting brought together officials from 20 state bodies, including ministries of internal affairs, national security, finance, foreign affairs, health, transport, communication and high technologies, culture and tourism, as well as Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc), Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC, Youth Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan, State Migration and State Boundary services, State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan Airlines CSC and “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve. Speaking to the event, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov stressed the role of youth in political processes in the world. He underlined the UN Secretary General chose the youth policy as one of the 5 main directions during his second tenure. He also decided to establish special bureau on youth policy under the organization. Rahimov underlined Azerbaijan was one of the first countries, which wanted to host the Forum. He stressed the Baku Forum would be a new model in the youth policy of the world. The forum will bring together more than 700 participants from more than 170 countries.
