Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team Dominates Third Practice Session

SEPANG (Selangor, Malaysia), March 29 (Bernama) -- Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One (F1) Team drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton dominated the third practice session when they finished first and second respectively. Rosberg clocked the fastest time of one minute 39.008 second in lap 13 of the one-and-a-half hour practice session this afternoon. The German driver won the season's opening race at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne two weeks ago. Hamilton, who set the fastest time and finished fourth in the first and second practice session, clocked 1:39.240s in the last practice session at Sepang Circuit Saturday. Following a mere 0.916 seconds behind British driver Hamilton was Finland's Kimi Raikkonen of Scuderia Ferrari with time of 1:40.156s. Meanwhile, Malaysian-owned F1 team, Caterham F1 Team drivers Marcus Ericsson (Sweden) and Kamui Kobayashi (Japan) settled for 19th and 20th position, clocking 1:44.457s and 1:46.015s respectively. -- BERNAMA
